Bio & Experience

Tabber B. Benedict founded Benedict Advisors LLC on January 1, 2012, is the Global Head of the Mergers & Acquisitions Department, and serves as Managing Director – Business Development.

Mr. Benedict provides legal advisory and consulting services on mergers and acquisitions, securities transactions and other strategic matters across industry areas both internationally and domestically. Mr. Tabber Benedict also has substantial securities, capital markets, transactional, general corporate, and investment fund experience. Mr. Benedict focuses on corporate transactions and advisory services for start-up, early and late stage companies, funds, joint-ventures and partnerships. Although many of Tabber Benedict’s current clients pursue transactions valued between 50-500 Million U.S. Dollars, Mr. Benedict has advised on deals of all sizes for current and former clients.

As lead counsel for principals in M&A transactions, Mr. Benedict is involved in all aspects of structuring, negotiating and documenting such deals. He manages and coordinates the involvement of relevant experts in IP, Tax, employment and environmental law necessary for successful completion of the transaction.

Mr. Benedict has a decade of sophisticated corporate transactions experience and has worked on some of the largest and most complex M&A deals during that period. The total aggregate value of the Tabber Benedict's deal work now totals over $25B.
A 2002 graduate of Columbia Law School and Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, Mr. Benedict developed much of his expertise in mergers & acquisitions and other corporate transactions at internationally recognized law firms in New York City. Mr. Benedict’s in-house experience at a top international insurance company gave him a unique perspective to better understand client’s changing needs and how to adapt to them. While in-house, Mr. Benedict continued to develop his legal expertise on international and domestic transactions, securities and capital markets transactions, as well as corporate governance matters.  In addition, Mr. Benedict developed substantial experience on asset management transactions, negotiating on behalf of the Investor and managing outside counsel on investment deals with hedge funds, private equity funds and other investment vehicles.

With his impressive network of clients, former clients and business contacts in various industries, Mr. Benedict now provides legal advisory and consulting services to clients, business partners and strategic partners.
